“With effect from 01.04.2025, MCA amends the classification of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Manufacturing Enterprises and Enterprises rendering services) by classifying Micro Enterprise as an enterprise having investment in Plant & Machinery or Equipment (PME) not more than 2.5 crore and Annual Turnover (ATO) not more than 10 crore; Small Enterprise as an enterprise having investment in PME not more than 25 crore and ATO not more than Rs. 100 crore, and Medium Enterprise as an enterprise having investment in PME of not more than 125 crore and ATO not more than 500 crore.”

NOTICE BOARD
CBDT extends the date of filing of income-tax returns from July 31 to September 15.
According to a Press Release posted on 27th
May 2025, In view of the extensive changes introduced in the notified Income Tax Returns (ITRs) and considering the time required for system readiness and rollout of ITR utilities for Assessment Year (AY) 2025-26, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has decided to extend the due date for filing returns.
Accordingly, to facilitate a smooth and
convenient filing experience for taxpayers, it has been decided that the due date for filing of ITRs, originally due on 31st July, 2025, is extended to 15th September, 2025. A formal notification to this effect is being issued separately.
